I've retro-fitted the Original Spiritscape with Phoenix Speak which does a much better job than my old "Lock and Load" system and commented out the Wolf Howl "extras" and a few other things to keep it under the 8k limit. It's just a modified version of the download without Lock and Load. It doesn't need Phoenix Speak to run, just to save a players progress.
All you need to know to be added to the PS database is the command [JOIN I've been uploading it in AI to see if there is enough interest for me to continue refining it and/or form a gaming/rp group so it can be developed into a group package dream. The dream URL is furc://spiritscape So far in the PhoenixSpeak version testing it appears it saves so much data it will be limited to 100 accounts. Last count 22 accounts = 10kb. What is Spiritscape? A Dream that pushes the limits of DS to emulate RPG gaming environments like Runescape, Diablo and other DnD type games. There are a variety of Quests to develop characters, Repeatable Tasks, Random Events, and Repeatable Primary Quest as well as a Dungeon Master mode that allows a player to take Control of the Random Events. Advanced NPC and Monster AI stat system as well as a "Spirit" rating that is kind of like Karma or Good and Evil. If you're into this sort of thing, come check it out. |

I've visited your dream multiple times it seems like a very awesome dream. The NPCs were too real, but in a good way! You could've mistaken them for actual people if they were using furre avatars
Definitely a dream worth visiting! |

I'm basically trolling to see if it's worth forming a group to keep developing and refining it. |

Skeletons are "One Hit Wonders" one hit even with your bare hands and they go down... and once you get just a little armor they miss alot more often. And most people start attacking the villagers and village guards and thier spirits drift into shadows and become tormented spirits before they realize what's happening. To fix it you have to fight a bunch of skeletons in the tombs and carry a pile of bones back to the altar... |

I wish it had all original furre avatars, that would be awesome. I got all but a few of the avatars, npcs, monsters and animals from Riener's Tile Sets to try and keep the graphics consistant. It's a treasure trove of stuff that is almost the same scale as furcadia and isometric angle. |

Even as a SilverSponser uploader that allows 200 accounts, the amount of data saved limits it to somewhere around 100 PS accounts. When the "Test" database hits 75% it will go "Live" and players will have to sign-up for accounts before they can create an account. Current players that don't want to start over might be able to be transfered into the Live database manually if you sign up in advance.
Currently "Test db is at 81%" Until I need an "Official" Web Based sign-up system this thread is probably the best place to sign-up. Sign-up with the Character name you will be using in the Dream and [JOIN will be unlocked when it goes Live. |

Currently there are 82 accounts that have been added to the "test" PS database - 36kb used, 28kb free. There have been alot more that have passed through without creating an account (it's not obvious for casual visitors or it would have filled up long ago).
I have put switchng to the "live" databse on hold while I work on updating the interface/skin and make a few changes to the DS. All this work is being done to a separate copy of the dream. In the meantime I'm doing my best to keep the current version uploaded in AI near the North Shore F3 drop off. |

Wow, I now know why the skeletons killed me. Me hitting F3 doesn't work, it seems that my F keys aren't configured correctly. I believe F4 whisks me to VINCA. So my next attempt at hitting stuff will have to be mouse click.

I got so carried away with it this weekend with updating the interface, 99% of the typed commands are now buttons which makes it alot slicker. You also can't simply [join but each time you raise a level a button will appear giving you the option to join or continue. I'll keep using the test database until it can't hold anymore. The new dreamurl is: furc://spiritscape:wow/ |

A button saying join never appeared when i leveled. The only one i ever got after a level was when i got level two, saying save or not.
Your dream is awesome and i would love to join. For the moment i am ID 117. Skugga Krigare I Even took on the role as a guide for a few hours, helping people who entered to make it a little less overwhelming when they walked in. |

Yes the button showing when leveling doesn't work that well, the best way is to complete the first Spiritstone quest. I love it when regular players help new players, that's what community is all about and even with all the help information built into the game and on the website most new players need a little guidance to get started. I appreciate you taking the initiative to help them.
The current database is almost full: 122 characters have been added to the Phoenix Scrolls. PS Ok: memory: This PhoenixSpeak database supports total 64 KB of memory. Currently reserved 53 KB, currently free 11 KB. So, A big purge of inactive accounts and reindexing of regular players is on the horizon. I've also done some development of a Dungeon Master System complete with control panel buttons on Tabs to allow a DM or group of DMs to create custom quests or adventures. I'm still trimming and adding things too, but with the DS hoving at 8k I'm really limited on what I can do. There are enough regular players that I'll go for the group package as soon as it's available which will open up some more DS space and I'll be able to add more stuff. |

I recently deleted 80 accounts from the PS database, but have gotten the Dream Package and with 500 kb of space I should have plenty of room to spare for quite awhile. I've already enhanced the look and feel of it with some patches by Artspace and plan on using the extra DS for some extra features as well as the extra map space to expand the underworld and add a few more areas for exploration and development.
I've started my own "to do" list and will also consider players "wish list" for the expansion. |
