Springtime is coming, and with it, comes Jujinka's Spring Festival! All furres are invited to help Jujinka bring in the Spring, March 20th in the Spring Festival dream in the Festival Grounds. This festival is about persona play, meaning everyone should come in character prepared for a Medieval Spring Festival. There will be spring events including games, egg hunts, booths, and Maypole dancing.
The theme this year is 'Grow!!!', and we are hoping to see many people take full advantage of the theme in their works and events. As always, there are contests for just about everyone! With a Dreaming Contest, a Limerick Contest, a Coloring contest, and a Portrait Contest--something is bound to strike your fancy! In our last Festival, we gave away over 3,000 golden dragonscales in prizes! Check out: http://furcadia.com/spring/ for more information, and happy dreaming! |

I do have a question about The dream making part if a small part and I mean a really small part of my dream was based on a story in the bible would the dream be automaticly rejected from the contest. The thing Im planning to make would not in anyway shape or form be used to try to convert people to my relgion I respect the belifs of all people. And I would gladly tell the Owners of furcadia or Primes what Im planning I would rather not post it on the fourms because I would have to explain my whole dream.

I have two questions:
1. Since I've placed first in past art contests, if I entered this one, would I be put in the master's category? (I don't know if the firsts I got were recent enough to qualify me) 2. I'm unclear on the instructions for the art contests. It says I can only enter once - does that mean once for each art contest, or can I only enter one of the contests? |

I do not think you qualify for the Master catagory yet, Farren. You didn't win first place in 2008 or 2009. |

I was just wondering, because I got a first in the sun festival flyer contest, but wasn't sure if that counted as an art contest or not. Thanks though. If I can get my printer to work, I might try to enter both the coloring contest and the port contest. |

Question about the coloring contest:
If I were to treat the lineart more like a sketch than lineart and paint over the edges, would it still qualify, or do you have to leave the lineart visible in the final piece? |

here's one. Say you are part of a dream team, doing the (always optional but always appreciated) portraits for the dream. Now, you also want to enter the portrait contest. Would it be acceptable to use a m/f/u set from the dream to enter in the portrait contest as well?

Keep in mind though that you also have to be willing to share them with others! :)

I've got a question...
QUOTE The theme requirement for the Dream Contests is "Grow." Contestants do not need to make their entries 'spring' themed, though spring certainly does lend itself to the theme! Please remember that all Furcadia contests have a standard of Teen+ (T+)! Although using "spring patches" does induce the idea of spring/growth, just merely using spring-like patches in a flowery-plantfilled dream probably wouldn't cut it for the theme, would it? I wouldn't think that a dream with just pretty spring patches would score very high with the theme, but how big of an impact does "theme" make to the overall judging anyway? |

The theme of "Grow!" can be used in so many ways! An RPG let's you grow in levels! A Sim City like game allows you to grow a city. A Pet game would all you to grow a pet up. A collection style quest allows for you to grow a collection. A story or informative dream would allow you to grow in knowledge! A Building dream would allow you to grow the size of the dream or your area. Of course there is the obvious growing of plants in all kinds of ways. You get the idea :) Be creative! It always gets you more points. ;) |

I love writing limericks as much as the next closet-aspiring-poet, but I do have a question: are multiple-verse limericks permitted? Five lines is a hard dose to swallow.
