Most importantly graphics, 32bits with alpha channels and many more frames for sprites, though I like the whole 2d thing (it doesn’t have to look so crappy) also change the avatars for more features such as hairstyles, clothing, fur markings (like Dalmatian, and German Sheppard dog) as well as general species types such as “smaller avatars for fox-type creatures, and larger avatars for wolf-type creatures and so on”,and there should be the option for digitrage (reverse joint dog type legs) or “human” type legs for starters.

Mouse movement should be optional!! I don’t know about you, but I’m tired of trying to click on a furre only to get sucked into some one’s dream. While we are on the subject of dreams there should be an option to automatically enter dreams, have a dreams favorites list (i.e. “only enter dreams that are on my favorites list”)

Built in Character manager, online detector, whisper manager, dream list, and character list with in dreams (much like Vproxy) and all of these would A, be in separate windows, and B they would have “snap-point” options (think winamp) there should be beginner and advanced “modes” obviously beginner would be the same format, and what not, advanced on the other paw would be very customizable (such as layout down to even the port and nav. button layouts)

Built in spell checker, That way this whole elitist class of super nitpickers can stop picking on those who happen to have a crappy academic education, yet in reality are 2 to 200 times better role players then they (my grandmother has a saying for that, is was “educated moron”)

The ability to turn off whispers from all (and from all except those on your favorites list).

A “netspeak” (U, UR, 2, 4, ppl, and so on) filter, netspeak contributes nothing to this game, other then allowing youths to become more lazy and ruin the possibility for Great (not just good, but Great) role playing in public

That’s all I can think of right now, please, only post positive, or constructive posts I already know that I’m an arrogant fascist prick.. or what ever, so there’s no need to remind me of that.

I post this list of ideas in hopes of sparking some one else’s interest in such a project, my technical skills on this matter are some what limited, however I can offer a small a bit of creative talent such as making buttons and what not, and more importantly time, and down the road monitory support.

Throw numbers on that and you've invented a new sect of Christianity.

Lutheranism for the 21st century.

I dislike netspeak as much as anyone but I don't think filtering it would be much good at all. If people want to type lazily or pseudo-trendily they will; filtering every new word they come up with would eventually create an annoying problem for literate people.

I've played horribly over-filtered games before. The censor was practically arbitrary and it particularly penalised non-English speakers.

The only practical suggestion I see there is the optional move-with-mouse.

As an obsessive clicker, it can be quite frustrating to see those busy body furres that move just a little too quickly for me to click on them!

Woah! Thats alot of ideas! I agree that their good, but that would take a good while of time to complete that "project", and it would take longer to download for some people, and some people might get disconected and fingure that Furcadia's not worth re-downloading, or downloading in the first place. I for one would try to download it, but I might give up if I get disconected alot in the long run. Anyway, most of what you mentioned, you can find in different Proxy's. I know what I have to say is long and maybe in a way negitive, but I like Furcadia the way it is, and I'm sure others do to. Anyway, thats my feedback.

Dear lord, the download!
I like the ideas. Goodgood. So many of them. x.x
But for us sinners who are still stuck on dial-up, it's not such a good idea; a good portion of Furcadia still uses it.
x.x Sigh. Someone give me money for DSL?

That'd require either a complete rewriting of the graphics and character engine, or it'd make Furcadia a 15 to 20 meg download, easy. At least, at this stage of the game, making fully customizable avatars just isn't feasible.

Yes. Yes. Yes. We have five ways of moving around Furcadia as it is. Why should we be forced to stumble around trying to look at people? ...The -only- disadvantage I could see to this is new players not knowing how to play, but even with a little intuition should they realize the arrow keys, at first.

Though it's not entirely unfeasible, it'd take a lot of programming to do. Like a lot of people say, if it's in a proxy, people obviously want it, so it should go in the game. I think that eventually, most (or all!) of these options will be incorporated.

That same "elitist class" might have problems with this, too, since they won't be able to spell all of their super-leet vocabulariacal (heh) words without being stopped by the spell checker. And ultimately, it still won't pick up common problems like their, they're, and there to begin with... I can see why this would be suggested, but I'm not for it, personally.

...Do you have that bad of a problem with random people whispering you all the time? Usually just ignoring the offending players works (or putting them in your config's permanent ignore list.) I don't think this is really necessary...

Uhh... I'm yet to see anyone who can roleplay decently that uses the aforementioned netspeak, though, definitions of 'decently' obviously differ. And like a previous poster said, "U and UR" are more than likely words in different languages, and with the new unicode code coming in (accents and weird symbols, yay!) Furcadia's going to be more internationally friendly than before. Again, this isn't a very feasible idea, in my opinion.

...That's about it. Sorry for the rambling. ^_^

Um. No.

Making a Furre Locator is impossible due to the way Furcadia operates.
