Avatars I'd love to see Options

Been telling these to my friends for ages... One type of avatar I'd love to see as a new paid species would be taurs, and possibly ferals. I already understand that the "four legged" thing would mess with the theme--But heck, the eagle avatar bonus Gryffes get already does that. I really like taurs, so I think adding them in as a payable add-on like wings would be cool.  As far as the ferals went, the canine patch is already made (Wolf Howl's patch, anyone?), the other species just need to be created.

A free species I'd love to see as well are bats... I'm a huge bat fanatic, they along with skunks are my favorite animals. A snake player would also be interesting, though I guess snake furries are pretty rare, so it wouldn't be worth it.

Any opinions?

I am not too much into getting new avatars, such as bears (never seen someone rp as a bear), but I think the mustelines need to be improved. They dont look like skunks at all! We need skunk tails! I am sick of people saying "Hey! Skunks are musteline and not feline!" because my avatar is a non-gender feline model.

I would like to see Racoons in the avatar list because they're cuter than skunks and don't smell as bad lol. I would also like to see Budgies in the avatar list because people who can't afford Phoenix or Gryffe could be a Budgie instead. These two avatars shouldn't be paid for because they're basic and a lot of people would like them. Furcadia, please make this idea come true and make the community a better place!

Umm, the squirrel avatar doubles as a sunk if you set the colors correctly. o.O They'll not likely add an avatar just for skunk when there's already one that works as one. Waste of space.

Bears I could see being added, i've known a lot of bear furres. Snakes, naw, furre's generally are "furry" and not scalie.

For the most part, I believe it has been made clear there arn't going to be any feral avatars beyond the eagle that comes with the gryffe. So good luck getting feral wolves added in. :b

Personally, I'd rather see them NOT waste their time on avatars and actually do something useful, like, get some of their long ago promised things up and runnnig, Q codes and mate status tags for descriptions, and VA, and perhaps, Just "perhaps", get the server stable? (:

Well I've already made a "serp" (naga) avatar in my dream. And I talked to Talz a few nights ago and she's been considering making a "serp" as part of furcadia.

I know bears are coming up as well.

I think the Tuar idea would be kinda neat too. As an option from a two legged minotuar (digo).

Personally, I think Furcadia should use add the Goblin Avatar from Great Goblin Swamp into Furc's Default avatar selection. SIMPLY because its above quality, even when compared to the new Squirrel avatar, its still better.

I agree that Bears should be next added avatar but,  I would also like to see Primeapes and Coons but it would be nice to see other hooved animals. A bull/cow. and I would also like to see a reptilic creature like a Raptor. or a possible lizard of some sort.

Though I agree that taurs should be a new paid av, Unless furc uses the taurs that some one put out for other's use, they'd have to make thier own and at the current rate things are looking, well, you get the point..

well the bears may look like this... Bear. That's a player patch made by Carrie O' Kaye that has a non feral bear in it.  I know that before the squirrel avatar came out Carrie made this patch... Squirrel. Just saying that it might look similar to that bear. Seeing as how there are some big differences in the two squirrel patches.

I think paying to make our own custom avatar would be interesting. They could be reviewed and accepted like portraits.

Yes, it would be a lot of work, but it would be an interesting way to support Furcadia financially; if you want a large, personalized dragon (you personalize this yourself, or pay someone to do it), you then pay around the same price as a regular dragon--be it for one year, two years, three, etc. You could have a lifetime personalized avatar or continually "renew" it each year or so.

So, if you had a large gryffe/dragon/canine/demon and wanted an avatar as such, you could. Everything would be mapped and checked so that the character would shift properly, not be too big, etc. Although it could get hectic if Furcadia was overrun by badly-made custom avatars.

Interesting idea, I guess. But like most ideas it has its substantial problems, as well as some definite plus sides.
