Err.. Maybe the next avatar should be something that more than three people play. Although, admittedly, Rotor from the Sonic the Hedgehog Freedom Fighters was cool.

I don't think I'd want to see bears as a digo, but rather as a next regular species. If, making it a digo would be faster, however, then I guess that will have to do.

Thing is, Why doesn't anyone bother to make any of these? I've been watching the romeheart patch archive for some time and havn't been happy with any of the avatars that have shown up there yet.
I've been lacking a good local species and am just waiting for someone to submit something that I would want for a local species. My own species drawing abilities lack serious skill, so I sit back and wait for a walrus, or werewolf, or whatever. Although there are alot of people in the furry comunity who draw, not all of them can draw well enough that they'd want to make a patch out of it, and not everyone who wants something has the means to make it.

I think that the primary reason for the lack of avatar patches is the sheer number of drawings required. Each avatar requires 20 drawings if you want full walking animation, sitting, and lying in all four directions.
Add that to the tendency of many people to use without credit, and there’s little motivation for an artist to spend hours to do this. |
