Own Clothes, Own Body., Choose clothes + species goes with body. Options

I think for each avator you can choose your clothes, like normally im a male canine walking around and what makes me Pised off is it looks like im whereing a braw! At least let them choose a couple amounts of vests/shirts and trousers.

I think when your male avator it makes your furre look male, if your female it makes your avator look female! If you Unspectified then normal, maybe even feral (I doubt).

This would take furcadia a lot of space or whatever, but it makes a big difference and makes this a really fun creative game, and everyone don't look the same.

MALE CLOTHES

Fancy.
Cousal.
Groom Clothes. (used for weddings)
Ect.

FEMALE CLOTHES

Midevil.
Dress.
Cousal
Bride Clothes. (Used for weddings)
ect.

WINGS

For wings, maybe just special clothes that used on wings.
or choices. I don't really know!

This would cause Talz's hand to fall off from doing too much art though...

If you don't like how your player looks, just edit the player.fsh files in the patches folder.

Yeah that would be cool, avatar changes with gender. :o All it takes is a few edited changes, and selection of clothing, maybe five different combinations for each, makes could have a certain type of things example: Medieval clothes/Modern/other, ect. And females also.  Neat idea, I dunno if they'd ever do it though.

I agree with seth. And besides, patches make ALL of the furres on furc look like they're either ONE thing, or another. You can only have 1-2 at the same time. Otherwise I think it's too complicated.

And yeah,have people helping, like the digo avatars were. I think the dragon was someone's patch at first, and then was a digo. Or vice versa.

It's actually better to go with changing the patches, since not all people can afford Digos and some people (like me) can't buy things from the net.

Also, if you are THAT concerned with how you look on a game, go elsewhere. Furc is about the chat, roleplay, and community, not about how your avatar looks.

The phoes are somewhat feminine, the gryffes somewhat masculine, but the generic avatars are deliberately pretty androgynous. Dogs aren't wearing a "braw": it's a waistcoat.

I think this has been adressed rather well in the past, particularly in the recent town meeting.

As Felorin pointed out there, just to add ONE other kindof clothing, in order to give male/female clothing, perhaps, will double furcadia's download size, and mean redrawing:

4 directions (nw, ne, sw, se)
 times
5 poses (sit, lie, stand, walk1, walk2)
times
5 wingtypes (none, classics, tris, butters, bat)
times
7 species
equals
700 frames of animation.

Alternatively, they could make the same number of frames, and give seven new species! That's not a very hard choice, and it's the one that has been made: three new species were announced at the town meeting, which will bring the number of frames of character animation up to 1,100. (100 per basic species, plus 100 for the dragon/phoe/gryffe/kiwi/hawk).

This might become more feasible with a 3D avatar system, where things like wings and hats could just be 3d objects that would be added to the existing character object; only one skin needed for each object, and all that changes from furre to furre is the way it fixes to the furre, and possibly the way it's animated.

Other than me thinkin' this forum post is like some sort of talk show where everybody is screwin with everyones heads. I just noticed something good about sim's idea! What if there could be an expansion to the player fsh and there could be instead of just player.fsh there could be a playerM.fsh and a playerF.fsh....    Because i hate going to a dream knowing that sirtain characters look like girls.

Exactly! Cause you always have to click on them to see their port, and sometimes they have Port Spaces that you can't tell whether it's boy or girl...and when you click on them, usually most peoples Unintresting desc. floods your screen!

Well clothes choicing is just a better....It expresses the person a little better so people can see exactly what they mean....

Oh and.....Just think...this may take awhile with more and more clothes, but just think when it's done...I mean like just think! How wonderful, intresting and cool it would be!

Furcadia isn't just all RPing it's social too..If you go to Charter theres: RP, Social, ect.

Anyways, it's easier to understand when RPing when they have special clothes...ecspecially the wedding choices I added.

And if by some slim chance they do make avatars gender-separate... no dress for the women! Maybe something that looks like dress or baggy pants, where you can't tell the difference. Not all of us like our femme furres to wear dresses.
