I think that the colors for character/cloth creation could see more creativity if one were allowed to selct the color via some sort of scaler. im partial to the RGB scale myself. i just think we could see more customisability with it.

and (please dont flame me for this i know everyone is requesting species be added) id like to see kangaroos added sometime. i myself am a kangaroo and was introduced to this by my beautiful mate and since roos wernt a choice i assumed a new identity in her species. Im sure everyone has thier own list of fursonas to add. i just only hope that in the future i can be my roo so me and my love can truly be together as ourselves.

I agree with you. I like Aquacyan but you can only like it so much, you know? I don't remember if they're already planning on adding it but it would be great if they did.

p.s. I'm a blue kitty cat!

We are already receiving two new free avatars with the next update. As well as another digo. Unfortunately, none of those are Kangarroos'.

The majority of the main avatars are drawn pixel-by-pixel; Only the wings can be "staight added" but are drawn pixel-by-pixel themselves with consistant testing to ensure they remap correctly. Main avatar creation is a long and awkward process. They cannot simply get one done in a week, a lot of testing and detail goes into the main avatars, not to mention server code and program edits. It isn't as simple as what most of us design.

As for colouring, Currently furcadia only runs a 8-bit system, so we are limited down slightly to the amount of colours we can actually use. In the next update however we are getting several new features. Many of these projects have been onhold until recently because of lack of resources or not releasing a new update for a minor change.

Next update; not only are we getting the guild packages but furcadia will be switching to use a 24-bit colour system. This means we'll be able to use 256 colours for every shape. This doesn't sound like much but will give a much wider choice of colour and shade.

Also: Please remember to read the Sticky at the top of this forum for Frequently Suggested Avatars before posting. Kangaroo's have been suggested before; although almost four year's ago admittingly. I still remember the topic.
Here we go; grabbed it from the archive.

Face it, most of the animals you can think of can be put into one of the eight avatars.

Squirrels and Raccoons can be Canine because of the pointy ears and bushy tails. The head would need to be rounder and the tail more stand-up for a squirrel but that's what immagination is for. Anteaters might also be considered for the canine, they've got bushy tails and long snouts.

Porcupines and Hedgehogs could either be Mustie or Rodent. Depending on how much you obsess over the short tail and how short the Musties are.

Any bird immaginable (even penguins and chickens) fit the Pheonix. However, when you look at how obnoxiously big the Pheonix avatar is you might want to re-think your character choice. As for the payment, you might want to think of it as supporting Furcadia. And there's always some sort of contest going on. Eugh.

Lizard things can be Dragons, without saying. But again I want to bring up how horribly big the avatar is. Is that... nessisary? I mean, there's giant cats being played, so I'm sure we could immagine the dragons that big instead of taking over half the screen. I've seen people go on about how big the Furc download is already. Well, it seems to me the size of the dragons takes up about half the download! (*insert humor*)

But there's a few animals that the current avatars don't fit. Like Kangaroos and Shelled Animals (as brought up in another topic). Armadillo types could be turtles, as pointed out. And those wonderful down-under creatures just... don't fit the other avatars very well.

Furcadia has the ability for people to Patch the graphics. I have made Kangaroos for people to play with.

Download > Search under "Carrie O'Kaye" > http://archive.roamheart.com

So essentially, when you've learned how to build your own Dream (i.e. map), you can upload your Dream and use the Kangaroo as the Extra Species... Until then, look up on how to build Dreams, attach/create patches and script with DragonSpeak!
