Maybe we could add scalies to the Furcadian world?  I'm pretty sure some scaly fans would like that, including me...  and maybe a hyena furre (a real one, not the neuter canine...)

I'd love to play a neutron bomb  But that's what patches are for.

It's not too likely that scalies will be another species any time soon since we do have the dragon avatar.  There are alot of other threads suggesting new species and a poll for what the next species should be in Neopets.  I'd give you the URLs to those threads, but they're too numerous to list.  Just look through this forum a little bit (the Suggestions forum) and you'll find them.

The Gryffe was a big enough let down, without more things that look like dragons...
Bah! How many Species do you need? I thaught most people knew how to work with the ones there now!
BUT!
If I was to promote a new furre it would be a sexyful kitsune with big fluffy tails that curled around them when they sit.. there is a thread about kitsines somewhere ... but then again we have wolves taht are close enough.
Thing is if you keep wanting more species, by 2004 the average dream will be 1MB big!

A hyena is basically just a canine so if they were to add that, it would be as a breed specific avatar, the same applying to the Kitsune.  However, if we introduced every possible breed for each species, that would be one download that I myself would not bother with, including others.

And Furcadia is al about fur and they've basically almost added every possible furre animal in existence.  I mean, I'd like to ursines since you can onlyreally play those using a canine or equine avatar, and I had heard they may be introduced.  The best way to get what you want is to create your own player patch and hope that the higher ups notice the demand for that particular species.  I believe there were three gryphon avatar patches created before they actually decided to make it a to buy avatar.  And yes, I'm aware that phoes and dragons aren't fur (though some dragons are!) but it's a mythological thing.  After all, Furcadia is treated like an imaginary place.

I say we get rid of all the species and replace them with grey, furry blobs. That way everyone is the same, and species isn't much of a problem because there's only one race. Listed below are two pros and cons
Upsides:
1. No more people sweating over which color combos they'll use
2. Less prejudice, I mean, whose going to go around saying "I'M BLOBBIER THAN YOU. I RULE. HAHA. LOSER."

Downsides:
1. You won't be able to find your friends as easily.
2. Blobs will possibly leave slimey trails, meaning we'll need voluntary janitor beekins. (Which will be hard to find.)

Daiktana walks into Allegria Island and immediately notices a massive jam of furres in the door.  Easy solution though.  Daiktana uses his special function of the neutron bomb avatar.

Furres within 4 tiles are immediately vapourized.
Furres outside 4 tiles but within 10 are less fortunate and can be heard moaning and screaming for the next 5 minutes.

--Furcadia has so few Races because every new Race adds considerably to the size of the download. Every second longer it goes is a moment in which the download might fail. If that happens, the downloader is more than 50% likely to give up on Furcadia forever.
The ones we have were chosen by going over FurryMUCK data. These six covers over 95% of FurryMUCK's population. If the Internet itself changes such that bandwidth is MUCH higher for even the slowest users, then we can consider adding others. My list is topped Skunks (stretchable for squirrels, etc.), Cows, Deer, Bugges, and Avians ("Byrddes").
Although I normally appreciate input, your suggestion for what to add next will probably fall on deaf ears until all five of the above are completed and added.
