Tradewind

They, some time ago I was introduced to Furcadia by a friend and I download the game and tried it. It's a very good game however I was heavily disappointed when I found out that there wasn't any reptilian species what so ever (dragons dont count).

There's a wide variety of species available and I'm grateful for that. However, the reptiles were left out for some reason. Being a lizard furry (or a scalie as it is sometimes called), I would very much appreciate it if you at least add a lizardman as a avatar.

Reptilian avatars have been suggested many times already. Right now, the backstory material for Furcadia's Dragonlands setting doesn't support anthropomorphic lizards or snakes.

However, it doesn't presently support birds either (phoenixes get away with it because they're mythical), but it has been indicated that Ducks may eventually show up, discovered in some uncharted section of the Dragonlands world. Therefore, Talzhemir might someday reveal other presently uncharted areas which are inhabited by gila monsters, skinks, and boa constrictors. Who knows?

However, if Talzhemir does go that route, it probably won't be for a long while yet.

In the meantime, various patch archive sites have various anthropomorphic snake and lizard avatars available for download which you can patch into your dreams. Furcadia's Patch Archive and Roamheart are the best places to look.

Why does everything have to fit into that dragonlands thing O-o... I, personally, have never read it and I probably never will. The dragonlands = made up story, so if DEP cannot live without an avatar fitting into that story, why can't they simply change it a bit?

Consistency. Furcadia began partly as a means for role play, which required a consistent backstory. DEP still maintains it because it provides a unified setting for the players' shenanigans. In a sense, official Furcadia maps are to DEP as our dreams are to us.

Would alien sentient transforming robots be appropriate in World of Warcraft's setting? Probably not. Why? Because it doesn't fit WoW's medieval fantasy mileau. I imagine most WoW players don't care about the backstory, they just want to kill stuff, level up, socialize, and whatever else they do there. The same concept applies with things which don't fit Furcadia's Dragonlands setting.

Did I not say they can change it as necessary? Before Ferians came out, the Dragonlands continuity indicated that the only feral type creatures were the werecreature Lycanthians' beast modes. Then Talzhemir "discovered" the Wolvens and a whole society of Ferians. Consider the Dragonlands continuity as a guide to what is known about the Furcadia backstory at this time which will change as new things are "discovered".

I beg to differ on the "It's not in the dragonlands canon" excuse that's often given. Perhaps Talz could offer a definitive answer, but the Dragonlands includes Reptillian Furres.

Eetrox (dinosaur-like)

(evil) Nagafurre

Serp

(evil) Wyrmme

Feral-types:

The Nightdrake

Dracosaur

These seem to more than aptly fit the description of "Naga", "Lizardfurre"... etc.

I stand corrected.

Kamose had the best answer to suggestions such as this one.
