Sphinx digo?: Like, a more of a griffin-ish body, and a furre head instead of a humans.
Ferian pups and cubs?: Like, Wolven puppies, Tygard and Leonen cubs? Aperir digo?: A creature I made up just now. o-o.. A winged creature, wings are flexible and highly capable of flying. fur dangles like hair on its head and down its back. snout like a wolves and ears that stretch out similar to a fennec fox's. a furry body and long cat tail with a bundle of fuzz at the end. (Stupid idea? yes.) ... I'm done... o-o |

Probably has been suggested, or something similar, anyway. Still, never know.
Sphinx -- Which one? There are three types of sphinges. -- The androsphinx with a human head (and is sometimes winged, sometimes not) is the one we normally think about. As you hint, it's not good in a no-human continuity or one in which human existance is a bone of contention. If we replace the human head with a cat head, then we've just got a cat furre with feathered wing Digos. -- The hieracosphinx has a hawk head. I doubt it would appear much different from a griffin, especially at Furcadia's scale. -- The kriosphinx is our best bet. It has a ram's head. That certainly would stand out from the other avatars. Aperir -- Possible copyright problems there. After all, it's your creature, not one that's free for Furcadia to use. Domestic cats like those in the Festival of the Sun would make a nice seasonal avatar for summer. |

Well, you've just inspired me to make a sphynx avatar using the available patching. Keep an eye on Roamheart unless I move before it's finished.

QUOTE Quoth Sonichu: As I said, an androsphinx is not a good idea in Furcadia simply because humans themselves are a bone of contention, while "cheating" and giving them a cat head would look too similar to a feline with wing Digos. -My comment: If you want a human roleplaying game, go play something else. THIS IS FURCADIA! ![]() My vote is for the kriosphinx, anyway. ![]() QUOTE -My comment: I haven't seen any sheep avatars yet, so this could be good. Sheep? ![]() QUOTE -My Comment: Yes, but all Emerald would need is his permission. You're right. However, my comment was meant less as a "they can't do it because it's yours" but as a "they could, but there are some things they need to factor in when making a decision", even if I did not say it too well. |

Sphinx: Yeaah It would not appear unique enough for it to really be given a slot amongst the other mythical digos (imo).. A winged hypogryffe/sphynx blend would, however, look very fetching!

No humans? That's something that has stuck with Furcadia for quite a while and anyone that wanted to play a neko or a hyooman, just used the kitteh avatar. However.. I think that there are enough hyooman/elf/neko players now, to warrant reconcideration of a humanoid avatar.. As for RPs that are more strictly furre, worrying about hyooman invasions? Well, DUR. Everyone repatches the species to suit their RP anyway! Hyoomans as digos? No. But humanoid avatars? I think these should be reconcidered.
Sheep? Prolly something that is in the frequently suggested digo sticky. Have a look!
Aperir digo? No. It sounds a bit dangerous to just start creating digos, based on the whim of a player's imagination. Copyright probs, never ending suggestions, blah blah.. Sounds messy.
Cubs/pups? Sounds a bit risky to start suggesting ages in official patches. Such could make players vulnerable targets for predation, social discrimination and more... Not to mention the unending chore of making kits/cubs for every new species that gets created. That would be one of those risky 'never ending work' traps.
Kittehs? Yes! I agree with that one, whole heartedly. Something of the same deal as kiwis or bats. A domestic kitteh avatar for special occassions.
And digo giveaway packages, that are not usable & the time doesn't count until it's given away? That makes alot of sense! You could have a cache of flowers that you were unable to use for yourself, that you could keep to give friends, when a cookie just doesn't feel like enough! I usually think it best to leave the business of things to DEP. But that is a suggestion that I'll proudly bump!... Though that may have been put better in its own suggestion thread. |

This is already possible! We have roses and the Wylde Bouquet that work this way! Plus you can use them to leave your friend an offline message. You buy the roses and they are indefinately on you as "rosebuds" and their time only start ticking after you send them to a friend or put them in your own description. We are looking at doing a few more items that work this way. We hope to have candy canes to give out for the holidays!
