Make Your Own Digos, I think.... Options

Well, i have been on Furcadia for a long time, and well i think people should have the right to make their own digos.

Just simply let them say a command, make the digo, email it to some owner, if it's confirmed confirm it and notify them that it's been aproved, make them happy, make you feel happy.

It's been suggested somewhere in there, I think.

While it's a nice idea on paper, the main problem with this idea at this time is that, any time someone wearing a custom avatar popped onto a main map, everyone on the map would have to download the avatar in order to see them. That will cause noticable lag even for those with connections faster than dial-up.

For comparison, a 20-bit portrait is only one frame in an fsh file and causes a noticable lag when downloading. A custom avatar is 20 shapes. While avatars aren't 20-bit yet, they will be in the future. Think of how much lag they would cause, especially since, unlike portraits, you wouldn't be able to avoid not downloading them by not clicking on the furre.

Sharkz, it has been suggested before. Way before you suggeted it, so Furcadia is more apt to credit the first person who suggested it if it does go into effect. In fact. the suggestion for that happened way before my time, and thats 3 years ago.

It's a neat idea, isn't it? But unfortunately, it's just not a practical one at the moment, and doesn't look like it will be in the near future, sorry.

I think it's pretty cool how you get to have several customized local species of your choice within your own dreams, this is an option that we never had before in Furcadia. I am looking forward to the group packages which will allow you to expand on this feature.
