Dear Furcadian Citizens,
Here is my rather obvious statement: I think the next free avatar should be a beaver. I mean, come on. THE BEAVER!? It's adorable, not to mention giant flappy tails that look like they've been smashed in a waffle-maker! Oh man! It'd be wonderful. Perhaps you could also make a feral beaver to have people pay for, DEP. The beaver would be the next basic avatar. You've covered most of the rest but the beaver has yet to come. And if you somehow actually do this, because I'll be surprised if you do, don't put a potbelly on the beaver. The bear has one, the beaver don't need one. It just needs a pretty little tail and we're set to go. And some other stuff... okay.. yeah. Bye! Please comment.

A feral beaver sounds like a great seasonal avatar, but bipedal beavers? I dunno, I feel it's too specific to be a main ava.

Why not offer a beaver tail for the squirrels or the rodents when Tail Digos come out?

If I remember Emmy's reasoning right, this came about partially because of the wings. One future plan of DEP involves detaching the wings from the various walkabouts and putting them in their own files. Not only would this decrease the size of downloading Furcadia's avatar files, it would allow for attaching the wings to, say, the Ferians with less difficulty.

However, there's a hitch in this plan, namely the squirrels' tails. They're big, bushy, and in the way. Therefore, the squirrel tails would also have to be detached in order to pull off detaching the wings from the squirrels. Now, if the squirrels are going to have their tails detached, why not the other avatars as well? In which case, why not add some more options by allowing other tails to be bought (the default tails would still be free) and attached to the walkabouts to represent even more species?

At least, that's what I understand.
