We have Western-like dragons. Why not Eastern/Asian dragons? It would add as a nice variaty to the furry world. Especialy all those who like to play the Eastern/Asian variaty dragon. And, I see no harm in it.
There can be two ways of adding it. One would be, allowing the already default dragon digo to change into a eastern variarty. That way, People can choose between one, or the other. Or, add it as a seperate digo.
I personaly would like to see it done via first choice.

I doubt this'll be put in, since we already have one type of dragon. That's kind of like going 'well, we have tygrid ferins, but why don't we make CHEETAH FERINS!' you can still play an eastern dragon with a western dragon avatar tongue.gif and there's a lot of OTHER digos that have been suggested (and implimented) that are a far cry from a repeat of an older theme.

furc tends to not repeat/redo older themes (except with wings), and i think that's a good thing.

Then, technicly, we do not need Human avs ethier. Especialy since people can easily play Humans with a furry av. I think it's a great idea.

Might be an option when they introduce multi-pieced avatars? Where you can swap out tails and wings and such?

The dragons may be able to swap out their wings and other features to look a little more Asian, too. smile.gif

the difference between western and eastern dragons wouldn't be the same as the difference between tygards and cheetahs, it would be more like the difference between tygards and leonen, or big kitters and small kitters sd.gif

I like this idea se.gif

I think eastern dragons would be too much like the Furcadia creation dragon?

There's already at least one eastern dragon patch floating around out there - we use it in A Kitsune's Paradise. I believe it was made by Hellfire's Fury.

The easterm dragon has no wings, a longer face and body, long whiskers and a fluffy mane that runs from the head down to the tip of the tail. The tail tip is well made up of a tuff of long hair. The claws a slightly larger and, the jawline is outlined with long hair. The chin sometimes as well has sort-of a long beard. Sometimes. the entire chin to the top jawline of coverd in semi-long hair. The Antlers or. Horns as otherwised called are longer and more twisted. Sometimes, the nose is large and thick, somtimes the nose smaller and beak-like. It differs for each dragon.

Now please do, tell me that looks like the furcadian dragon..

your description doesn't match 'all' the dragons there. as you said, though, it 'differs for each dragon' so let me bold what the furc creation dragon matches.

That is a fallacy of an argument for one VERY important reason hun....Tygards are NOT Tigers per se....they were created to cover ALL the Big Cats,Except the Lions, which the Leonens cover. Tygards can have spots, stripes, etc. with just a slight change of color scheme, thus they cover cheetahs, panthers, tigers, etc. Furcadia already thought of all of that. Thus the argument they need to make cheetahs, since they have tygards,is false, since it is basically already covered.
All Black Rain wants is for Asian/Eatern Dragons to be covered like the Western type are, this can be done 2 or more ways. One way is to incorporate it into the Dragon Digo already there, the other is to make it seperate. I don't consider filling in holes as a repeat of a theme.

Not all of them look like that, and I was talking about the Furcadia Creation dragon, which is longer, and has long flowing hair. :3

Since dragons are usually... sentient, it seems weird to me that there'd be a feral one. There aren't feral Phoenixes... and dragons are similar. Seems like an odd concept to me!
I'd rather see kitties! >D

Unique idea though.

We've talked about an eastern dragon and probably will at some point. However, Felorin wants a Kirin next! It would be an anthro one and he likes the kind with antlers. Kirin are very popular in many Asian countries. They are sometimes associated with the giraffe, though not always. They look kind of like a mix of a unicorn and dragon with antlers(or sometimes a curved horn). Though there are many different artist's interpretations. http://images.google.com/images?um=1&hl=en...G=Search+Images

It looks like a mixture of an Asian dragon and a horse.
I would think that you would use a Shi-Sa dog as a new ferian if you make an asian/eastern anthro dragon.

my "eastern" dagon character is more of a serpant/dragon mix honestly...
i think the current furcadia dragon is generic enough. i think having an eatern dragon would be weird. it'd either be ridiculous large or too small.

Nonsence. It'd be perfect. My Eastern/Asian Dragon character is nothing like the western dragon. I would prefer an eastern/asian dragon like digo to go perfect with my character.

chinese and japanese dragons, as well as indian dragons and of course various other key eastern countries are all quite different in and of themselves.
i personally like japanese dragons best... they have big heads, lots of detail, look pretty cool.

also, i found this for Okami fans whilst googling japanese dragons in mythology..

An eastern dragon would be cool. I've been taking an interest in eastern dragons for a while...They do tend to look drastically different from a western one.
