I've ALWAYS wanted to see a bug (mainly beatle) as a playable character in Furcadia, but that wouldn't be canon, so I've FINALLY come up with a way to get around this problem! Beatle Wings! Who wouldn't want to sport two round Beatle Wings? And if you're in danger, just lay on the ground and cover your wings with their shell, nothing could hurt you! Great idea, right? Right?

This is a good idea. There are many sorts of insect wings other than butterfly wings. Why not represent some of those? The tricky part would be figuring out which ones would be suitably marketable and making the beetle wings suitably generic so you could use them for, say, mantis wings.
Furthermore, Bugges are part of the Dragonland canon.  Kasuria's skyships were built using organic technology Bugge refugees from Drakoria brought with them. |

We all know I'd love to see Bugges as official avatars. Heck, I've almost completed a Bugge avatar for myself (as part of The Psycho-Delic patch project), and have the real media line art for the ports all made up.

If there is acually a bug avatar, why not make it a hercules beatle? Who wouldn't want to throw everyone around with one big, long, horn?
