No Deer? Options

it's been years since i first downloaded furcadia... long before they stopped using 'swagataam' as the dragon's greeting.
for pete's sake, theres been felines, canines, lapines, rodents, squirrels, horses, bears, dragons, foxes, birds, flying toasters,cows.... now you guys even have bugs!
has anyone ever thought of the poor cervine commute?
no goats! no deer! no antlered and hooves species of anysort have i ever seen in furc
...does someone hate cervines or sumthing?? >.>

Nope. DEP just hasn't gotten that far. It takes time and effort to make a new avatar. Plus, antlers and horns would need to be made and the new attachment point system programmed in, so that one walkabout could be reused for multiple species...or even have no antlers or horns at all. An advantage to antlers and horns as attachments instead of part of the base walkabout is that they could be placed on other species. We could then have creatures like jackalopes, mirajs, and beer (bear/deer).

There will, in time, be more digos of many sorts, they just haven't got around to adding in "deer" (Other then the Rein Variety)

I agree, that would look silly, especially for a character that's supposed to represent a Key deer (for example). DEP would need to make several sizes of antlers, and that's not an easy task when you think about it. They'll want to be able to use those antlers as much as they can.

On a partially related note, assuming DEP does eventually allow us to put antlers on other species, how long do you think it would be before someone sticks antlers on a bear avatar named "Michelob"?

The reindeer does not have an oversized nose(edit: or antlers) for its size and it is only red if you make it so. It *is* a deer, which you said there were none of. Just because you don't personally want that breed of deer does not change that it is a deer and an official avatar on Furcadia. The Kirin also has a lot of cervine elements and a more svelt anthro form as well. Being rude and dismissive doesn't make anyone want to please you.

I think he meant that the antlers themselves were oversized and not the nose (the arrangement of the words is a bit misleading). Also, I believe Truemarshall is suggesting a Cervine Furre instead of a Cervine Ferian (like the reindeer). At least, that's the way I interpreted it.

Actually, I think they either typo'd "rabbit" (the lapine avatars) or mistook the chinchilla for a "cabbit."
