Anyone remember the little furry balls from Star Trek that got on the ship and were almost taking over the ship just by sheer number, though they were harmless?

Well...I think you should be able to become a tribble. Whether bought or not, I think it'd be fun.

Really, beyond that, I have no reasoning as to why this should happen.

I'm pretty sure that Chinchillas are, in fact, a distant cousin of the Tribble. I know I've been seeing a recent rise in their population... :O
