My friend Syr love squirrels, and I kind of like them (even though my fursona is a mouse), so I think we should have them. Digos.
Anthro domestic dogs! And feral. I'd love to have some domestic dog come snuggle C: Ferals- digos.
Feral dragon digos.
FERAL HORSE DIGOS.
Bug feral thingies. SPLAT! (That ones a joke.)
FERRET FERALS and maybe more ferret-like anthros?

I dunno, they're just suggestions.
I really want the dogs and squirrels.
I hope DEP considers some of these.

I'm presuming you mean Ferian Squirrels. cwink.gif Done right, they could double as Ferian Skunks (although it comes close, the Foxen just doesn't quite cut it).

(Oh, yes, and the Obligatory Sticky Referral ™. That's so you know you're not alone. cat-mischievous.gif )

A "Horsen Ferian" is already in the works; it will be released after the 32-bit update. (It can't be released before the update because of its size.)

QUOTE (Emerald Flame @ Jan 25 2008, 12:27 PM) *
We can't really do ferian horses until after the 24-bit update. They would have to be way to big to be in perportion. We will do a bit of a size adjsutment with the avatars when we go to 24-bit and doublesize the graphics.

I doubt that we will see an free domestic dog avatar, simply because we already have a canine. Generally, DEP likes to make default avatars that cover a wide range of species instead of more specific avatars. Portrait spaces and descriptions help players to fill in the gaps in available avatars. :-)

If you're talking about a gendered domestic dog avatar, I think it's likely that DEP will create gendered versions of the current default avatars before it considers adding more specific versions.

I'm all for domestic dogs ferals. We already have a wolven avatar, but not a domestic dog. They may be similar, but why is it then that the ferian catten was created when people could just as well pretend with their ferian leonen or tygard?

I think it's only fair that we get a domestic dog. The ferian wolven just doesn't seem doggish to me. It's too large. (on a side note, the ferian foxen isn't very canine to me either)

The Wolven, Leonen, and Tygards are the large species of ferian digos.

The Foxen and Catten are the smaller species for the smaller versions of ferals.

There would be no need for the domestic dogs since there are two types of canines to cover it. I know it's not close to some dogs, but it's better than nothing.

See, to me it's different. The wolven and foxen are the two "wild" canine-ish avatars, and the leonen and tygard are the two "wild" feline-ish avatars. Then the felines get a third avatar, one for domestic feline usage, the catten. So in my eyes, there should also be a domesticated dog as well, to even out the feline and canine users. It's really unfortunate if they cater more to the cat fans in this, but oh well.

I personaly don't like the graphics of the catten, anyways.

I'd be all for a "doggen" ferian, or a "squirrelen-skunken" ferian.
Of course, I'm never gonna get my hands on a Digo... so why should I support this?

I am all for a "doggen" ferian. I mean, if we have a domestic cat, why not a domestic dog?
But not Anthro, of course. If you want an Anthro dog, get a Noble Canine. c:

The problem with doing a domestic dog is they'd have to decide how to model it, since there are so many types that look way different.

If anyone remembers the dog ferian released only on the furnarchy proxy years ago, it was of a breed I think would be satisfy those looking for a doggen type of ferian release. It would satisfy me even if it didn't look like the exact breed my character is. Of course furcadia's would be of better quality than the one released on the third-party proxy. I would definitely buy it.

As for a squirrel type feral, I would love that too. And yeah, no need for more canine anthros. We have enough of those that are more than suitable for any canine anthro, in my opinion.

On a final note, to reinstate what's been said already: we have a domestic catten, we need to even the odds.

Dances With Fireflies

You know what Furcadia could use? A new type of furre avatar. Something to really draw people to the game and go, 'Wow, a new type of furre? I have to check this out'.

Just off the top of my head, their ears could be curved instead of pointed. They could have distinct noses and no whiskers, or tails for that matter. Their knees angle forward instead of back, their fur could be completely non-existant except atop their head, possibly a few choice other locations. Their claws could be dull and curved instead of sharp, same with their teeth being dulled down. You could call them, I dunno, 'Fumans'.

It would be awesome, right? :D

All furre and Ferian knees angle forward, even those of the avians. cat-silly.gif What looks like a backwards knee is really the ankle.
