I always thought it would be neat to see some fish/shark/serpent/lizard avatars. Perhaps a simple one that can be used freely, but then a few to be found in the Digo Market.
Some kind of new creature would be interesting, a fish-like being rendered with Betta-fish like fins, anthropomorphic and bipedal? One with a special tab to be able to change into a fish. I mean hey, it is a fantasy world and the new species could have some sort of adaptation or something. If dragons can fit into buildings, then a fish-like species can walk without water. Species ideas: New creature, stated above. Snake/Naga -- form could be naga, shift into a snake. Lizard Ferian -- feral lizard. Equus Ferian -- feral horse. Seasonal Llama Chimaera Something like a deer - bipedal, but with antlers. Slender body... kind of like the traditional Furc demon in the Dragonlands legend, but less grotesque? Seasonal chupacabra Seasonal ghost Either way, I think it'd be awesome and it will open up a whole bunch of new RP and economic opportunities. Thank you for taking the time to read this! ~Valour |

Snake/Naga -- form could be naga, shift into a snake. Equus Ferian -- feral horse. Both the Naga and a Horsen Ferian are in the works. They won't be released until after the graphics update. Emerald|Flame: We will have a lovely Naga...snake-like avatar out in the 32-bit update though! We had to wait it because it has a 32-bit translucent water effect. We can't really do ferian horses until after the 24-bit update. They would have to be way to big to be in perportion. We will do a bit of a size adjsutment with the avatars when we go to 24-bit and doublesize the graphics.

That's pretty old information, Kamose! :) Plans have changed a lot in the last two years. Yes we have both a Naga and a Ferian Horse already made and awaiting some coding changes before they can release. But that might be sooner than you'd think!

QUOTE Quoth Valour: Something like a deer - bipedal, but with antlers. Slender body... kind of like the traditional Furc demon in the Dragonlands legend, but less grotesque? This would need attachments to be programmed in before it would work as well as we would like, I think. With different horn attachments, the same anthro deer body could be reused for different sorts of deer (including antlerless females -- of all female deer, only reindeer girls have antlers) as well as antelopes. Slap some wings on that deer, and you could have perytons -- mythical carnivorous deer that cast a human shadow. |

Just a note: We are no longer currently planning to doublesize the graphics for 24-bit.
( It was asked elsewhere, so just to clarify. I was responding to the quote Kamose made above about doubling the graphics in 24-bit. Originally all art was going to be increased in size, now it will simply be redrawn to make it work better with existing patches while still taking advantage of awesome 24-bitness. ) |

Any idea on how close we are to 24-bit at this point?

Any idea on how close we are to 24-bit at this point? That was just answered in the meeting yesterday - it's closer than it was 3 years ago when it was announced, but not so close as to them giving a date since... it gets done when it gets done. :P QUOTE ("Emerald Flame") Emerald Flame: Like I've been saying, we are still working on 32-bit, just slower since we have new programmers! They are learning the ropes really well and are coming up to speed. They recently put out their first optional update and maybe soon they can try out their first forced update! Once they have things down they can hop back on our plans for 32-bit, attachments and Accounts which we are all so looking forward to!
