Merry Christmas and Happy Holidays from Felorin, Talzhemir, Emerald Flame, Fox, Cironir, Gar, Farrier, Ryhn, Rei-jin, Kaelin'yFiae, Leah, Pouncer Kitty and Tiggerbaby! We hope you all have lovely holidays! We all tried to get an update out for you before Christmas but there's some persistent little bugs that aren't fixed yet and we want to put out a stable client. So! We will open Test World up for everyone to come enjoy! You can try out the new strings DS and see furres who have the new avatars and wear them if you have preordered one too! http://www.furcadia.com/update/strings.html

Fair warning! The test client is still buggy and you may have some issues. If the issues are too much or annoying to you, just reinstal from the main download page and go back to regular world. You can use the new client in regular world but the DS and avatars won't work there. You can be conencted to both places at once, as well. The Bugge Hunters are very busy so please try to get any help getting to Test World from freinds. Following are some issues you will see.

Known Issues:
-Don't try to resize Pounce or it will freeze on you!
-If someone on your Pounce list is not connected to both worlds at once it will keep telling you they are logging off and on.
-Large Dreams may not upload easily. You may need to press control N multiple times before they finish their uploads.
-If you use the new Dream Bookmark feature to go to a saved dream it will take all clients connected there, including any in real world.

How to get to Test World:
Download this & put it in your Furc folder: Test Client RC11
Install the test client.
Run the Furcadia configuration tool.
Under the proxy and firewalls tab, check the top box. Host is lightbringer.furcadia.com port is 8500

A Special note for MAC OSX users!

There is a special test client for you! Window's Furcadia, wrapped up in an emulator, ready to install on your computer!

Please note that the bugges are very busy helping in test world. If you have problems getting to test world ask a beekin or a friend who can get there to help you. If you're in test world report any bugs to a bugge, if you're running the mac client, report any bugs to Raz.

A few things to remember to do in test world:

-Test your dreams and make sure they're working
-Update your skins to add the new buttons
-Try out the new String DS
-Test any of the new avatars you've preodered!
-Compliment any of the artists who may be around on the cool avatars they made. (Please keep critisisms to a mimimum, these avatars are finished and the artists are taking a well-deserved break.)
-Please do report any bugs to a bugge while you're testing.
-Please try to avoid bothering the programmers (Farrier, Ryhn and Felorin) They're on a very tight, very stressful deadline.
-Please note that Gar, and Emeraldflame may be able to talk to you, but they too are very busy and may not answer promptly.
-Staff is very overworked and very busy still, so best behavior or we will need to suspend your access.

If you're trying out the mac client, you'll need to configure the client to talk to the test world, too - it's exactly the same as the Window Client, but it can be even easier. The first time you run the client, it'll ask you to run the auto configuration tool: In there, at the proxies section, you can enter "lightbringer.furcadia.com" as the host, and "8500" as the port. Do NOT tick the option to use it for file transfers too!

Does the new Mac client have any new features? Can we finally upload dreams using Mfurc?

You can do everything in the Mac client that you would in the WIN client, including making new characters and uploading dreams. This is not Mfurc by Ghost Tiger.

It's basically the PC client, running under emulation on the Mac. So it will do everything the PC client does, including uploading dreams.

Uninstall again, goto the default patch folder and delete everything inside. Don't close the window. Install and ensure that all the patch files appear.

Are you sure pounce is closed?

Yeah.. that just happened to me.

furc_on.exe was running in my processes on the Windows Task Manager. I ended the process manually and tried to reinstall and it worked.

I deleted -everything- remotely related to furc. Patches, Pounce, the game itself, I even deleted all the shortcuts. But it's still telling me that I need to close all copies of Furcadia and all the editors. Even though nothing is left. .-.

See above about pounce still running in taskmanager. (CTRL+SHIFT+ESC)
