Non-dragon Lizard Options

I was searching for a game made for furries. SL was one choice, but I didn't have money I could spend on games.
Furc was the next. I began creating a character to realize, "There's no lizards... sadface".

Turns out there is, but it's a dragon. Like said before I can't spend money on games when rent takes priority and the thought of wings is a little... Off...

So I'm going to suggest a lizard species as a starter, like the canine or the buggie. *thumbs up*

It would be really cool and I hope we get a lizard someday.

However, until then, you can make a dream and use a player-made patch to add lizards. I know there are at least two lizard patches out there. You could patch over the whole game, too, but only you would see it, so that's not the best idea.

Sounds interesting, the dream and patch thing. However if I want to go somewhere else I'm back to [insert original species here].

The same thing goes with Birds that aren't the phoenix or the griffin... but Lizard is what I really want to see.

Non-draconic lizards have been suggested before and, by the pattern that DEP seems to be doing with their newest avatar releases (pretty much all the most recent being player suggestions), you will likely see lizards in the near future.

This is just simply my observation and may or may not be the case, however lizards are on the "most-suggested avatar list"...

Because of the way furc is set up right now, adding a single avatar actually means adding 6 more files worth of artwork (regular + 5 wings). Once they get the attatchment system going and wings aren't in the same file as the avatar, they'll be able to add more basic avatars much easier.

In short: You probably won't see it for a while until they do the attatchments update

I still would love to see more default avatars, this one being up with the top of my list, despite the fact I would like to see more things done for the game first (namely the attachments update).

As far as the problem with bloat is concerned, I don't think players would mind if DEP just added the one file for only the player preventing the lack of wings. Perhaps even explaining the reason why the avatar can't equip. As those who can afford wings I'm sure won't be too upset having to buy a dragon instead.

Of course people will complain they can't use wings for the avatar, but you can never make people like that happy. It would certainly have to stop all the talk and whining of 'DEP doesn't cater to those without money to spend' lately.

I agree with the OP.
Sure lizards can be a green horse/other default species..
But they feel pretty left out!

My fiance has sort of stopped playing, got tired of being a dragon or a horse.

An awesome monitor lizard Ferian would be amazing. They're pretty generic looking lizards so people could be alligators, crocodiles, etc.
