It seems quite odd that I ask of this but where are all the other noble avatars? [I'm not saying where'd they go, i'm asking when are they going to be here if ever?] There seems to be a heavy demand [or so I've heard] for noble lapines. All these other digos like the squeeken are coming out while the noble list still hasn't been completed. I think it would make more people respect the basic avatars that aren't used alot [Bugge, Bovine, Ursine]. I wouldn't mind having Bovine and Ursine as a noble but I really want a noble bugge. I think it would be great to see all the nobles in the digo market which would both make more money for Furcadia and it would also make people respect the defaults more [as I said]. Lapine is most wanted now and there are alot of rabben furres with rabben characters. I've seen a noble lapine players on sites like RoamHeart. I really liked that and I think Furc should use something like that for the female lapine noble if they will ever make one! [Noble Bugges need to be for life xD] Anyways, I really think there should be more focus on the other half of the default furres so they can be turned into nobles. What do you think?

I'm pretty sure they are still working on nobles, they just haven't got them all out yet tongue.gif

I hope so. It seemed like a long time since I heard they were making it but it does take time to make a good digo.

They're going in order. So noble rabbits are next. Then squirrels, bovines, bears and... bugges. Last I heard the noble rabbits were being worked on.

Tiggerbaby is the artist working on the Nobles, and I don't think most of the recent Digos are her handiwork (unless she decided to take a temporary break from the Nobles). The last I heard from several months ago, real life issues were slapping her around. I don't know if she's recovered from them yet or not.

Therefore, the "when" of the coming Noble Lapines is a good question.

Like they have said, Tiggerbaby is working on the nobles smile.gif. It'll take a lot of time and effort, and you'll have to be really patient! The creation of avatars aren't free, and they do cost DEP a significant amount, I believe. But the nobles will soon be hitting the shelves smile.gif.

TiggerBaby finished the five original noble avatars, took a break to work on the Ferian dragon. It is currently planned to have nobles for all the defaults... just a matter of time, as has been said. sa.gif

Actually, this is good. We don't need Tiggerbaby to burn out on the Nobles before she finishes. Many artists and writers have often found that taking a break from their work entails working on something else rather than not working on anything at all.

I never thought of it like that. I thought it would be free to make- oh, now that I think of it, it probably would take some to get into the Digo Market with the testing and all but... hopefully, it will come out soon though it would take alot to make a good digo. I've seen one very well done Noble Lapine [Made by Nano-Chan, I think]. It seems like it would make a good noble lapine. Well, I won't go on on what would be good since I don't own the game. Anyways, I hope to see the Noble Lapine and the others when they come out! biggrin.gif

Testing isn't required, but an avatar has many, many different shapes/frames that need to be drawn. They need to follow specific guidelines for their unique perspective (North-West, North-East, South-West and South-East), the shading needs to match, the markings all need to match at different angles etc. Most freely downloadable avatars may look good, but they weren't draw with the strict guidelines in mind. Most of them are off in some area that make them 'not good enough' to be put into the game. It's why it takes such a long time to get them out. Adding them to digomarket/into the game is the easy part. smile.gif

Not so Noble Lapines

Have seen the new noble lapine and sorry to say, not impressed by any means. Looking back at the first comer nobles, this one just seems to lack that same flash and pizass of the others such as the Rodent, Canine, Hyooman. The attire looks almost similar to the same drab vest you see on the normal lapine, no nifty added details like pendants, necklaces, etc. Just bland and almost begging for something more to have been made out of it. bangry.gif

Better than nothing, but for how long it has been for the lapines, think they get the pleasure of having one of the lesser looking nobles to date. And what a bad choice for the hair too, buns are out. Stick with something prettier and less uglay. Sadly, already knocked a lot of lapine users hopes down.

Eech.. I was about to comment that you shouldn't judge so harshly, but I just went to look at them and you're right. Every other 'noble' avatar actually looks noble. Their clothes are fancy, they immediately stand out when they come on your screen.

These just look like updated versions of the basic graphics.

I can understand why they chose to go with the hairstyle, though. It's a bun. Get it? unsure.gif

Edit: To be fair, maybe it's just a poor selection of example colors on the Digo Market page or.. something. They're all really quite dull colors.

I tried out some of my ini files' colorcodes in the FOX editor and I think the bland look is mostly attributed to poor color combinations. I've always found that the screenies in general look bland on the blue background on Digomarket, it looks very different from the in-game avatar. With the right colors they look really nice!

And hairstyle is partially wordplay, partially theme. I think the lapines were supposed to have an asian theme to their designs. Aren't buns traditional for that? The outfits also don't look like poorly updated versions of the basic avatar to me... they look like asian wardrobe. Just not with the colors shown on digomarket... tongue.gif

Well say the colors on DigoMarket were kinda poor,

But even tampering with the colors some just doesnt seem to do much better. Brushing the dust bunnies (no pun here) under the living room carpet to say the least. And I still see too much lack where there could have been something to really shoot for the stars. The vests are literally just a nudge up from the defaults, dont see that with the attire on the other nobles, they got something completely different, flashy, and spruced up with 'Noble' jewels, pendants, hats, etc.

Can understand the humor they wanted to portray with the hair, but it is gosh awful when trying to have something a bit more pretty, small step under having been giving a beehive hair do like out of the 70s. And even the loin cloth, the button at the bottom of it makes it look like... well..... A flaccid phallus of sorts
(of varying colors) with the button at the bottom looking like the tip to it. Dress it up how you will...

Noble lapines just paupers in my opinion. So much more could have been done. Sorry
.

That's your opinion which you're free to have. There are plenty of people who do like it, sorry if you're not happy with them. But I don't see why you have to 1. make a username so condescending and provoking, and therefore bringing this message anonymous (why not tell us your main alt?) and 2. why you're making it a point to mention on any related topic how much you hate them.

As much as you value your opinion and as much as you're allowed to have it, it won't make DEP redraw the noble lapine. So perhaps this energy you're putting into making sure we know you dislike the noble lapine is better off used elsewhere. It won't change for one person's opinion, so... why post? Just don't give support by not buying it, that's what a few of my friends who don't favor the noble lapine do.

Not so Noble Lapines

I already know some will like it, and know others probably feel as I might, and others could be right in between. Just because I share a more negative honest opinion doesnt mean I think it outweighs others. You can freely give your sincere word on what you think. And why not mention a note on a noble avatar on a avatar comment spot here in the forums?

I apologize if you take it all that badly. But you are going to see pros and cons everywhere in life. Not every opinion has to be wittled down to false happy or polite thoughts. So just shared a simple few notes of observation I had. Some see it, some dont, but hearing some say they see what I mean... Okay, then I know I am not crazy or something. Nothing wrong with sharing ones words. And in no way would I ever imagine that anyone's rant whether a single voice or a thousand would grant a redo on a avatar. Its there to stay, and so are my words on it. Simple as that.

No hate for the maker, as not all avatars can look good. This one just doesnt, in my opinion. And got no problem taking a mere two minutes of my time and energy to type this up and share
^_^

Your opinion would be taken more seriously if you posted under a real character name instead of "Not so Noble Lapines"

Maybe,

But I already experienced what kinda antics giving an honest negative opinion like this does to my main characters. Too much hassle and drama by those that just wanna shut you up. So although you think it doesnt hold much weight thanks to a screen name, already happy I'v had some mention they see what I mean. And that is all I really needed to hear. Glad to know I am not the only one who seen the lack in this avatar as I have, that is all. bbiggrin.gif

Your opinion would be taken more seriously if you posted under a real character name instead of "Not so Noble Lapines"

Many respected authors (including opinionists) have always authored their work under false names.

An early example in American history is Benjamin Franklin. Knowing that his brother would never publish his work, and to allow others to make their own bias free conclusions, he posted under the name Silence Dogood. His character was a woman, in her midlife and married. This is different than himself, which allowed others to make an opinion based on someone they never heard from and allowed Benjamin's brother to avoid any favoritism that may of come had he not published under such a name.

In this case, the user is free to post as who they like. Perhaps their name is well known? Obviously they already replied my point. Knowing the name makes people jump to conclusions. With this name, you know nothing about their overt character - on that note, why do you wish to know their main name so bad? wink.gif
