I just finished this most wonderful book and would like to suggest a version of a Tairen from Lord of the Fading Lands by C L Wilson. I found the description of these incredible beasts caught my attention and made my imagination explode with ideas. It's an interesting creature, but there may be intellectual property issues if DEP uses a unique species from a copyrighted work.

From the looks of things, when 32-bit comes out you'll be able to make one of those by buying a Tygard and Batwings, then putting them together.
