Ok, another of my far out, hair-brained ideas
Gryyfes can turn into birds. Wouldn't it be good if you were a furre that could morph into a fish? you would only be able to do this in water, but it could open up to a whole loafd of posibilities, like places on maps only fish could enter (yes, yes I know, you are all gonna moan cos fish arent Anthromorphich) |

Nothing wrong with fish, though personally I don't like how they taste.
This suggestion isn't a new one, but always thought-provoking. It brings to mind the whole realm of sea creatures, aquatic anthropomorphics and merfurres. It can be a fanciful new world to explore. Still, I don't think we really need to add more to the size of the Furcadia client just to handle aquatic themes. Just look around for folks already making aquatic-themed dreams and patches, maybe even create a guild for similarly-minded folks to band together. I'd be rather interested to see what a band of aquafurre fanatics could create working together. ^_^ |

Who says fish can't be anthropomorphic? Read Louis the Fish.

Gee, more people love selkies than I thought. ^^;;
There's only one 'furry' type creature I've played outside of Furc, and that's selkies. I've been fascinated with selkies for a LONG time. And just think, if they made fishie avatars, selkies'd have fish to eat! =D |

Hold on.. you're going to restrict yourself only to animals with legs? No anthropomorphic plants? It's been done, rather well I think (not by me). And hey, how about anthropomorphic cetaceans(sp?), i.e., whales, dolphins, porpoises?
And who says they need legs. Let them walk on their fins. And puffer fish would be able to puff up and float to Zephiroth. |

Anthromorphic doesn't mean legged animal, jeesh.
Anthromorphic is an animal(/plant/inanimate/anything-non-human) object with human qualities. >.<;; |

I actually played a shark anthromorph at one time. He didn't have any legs but instead his tail was used like a serpent's, pushing him along the land. He could also drag his body with his arms too.
I would actually like to see an aquatic dream. Maybe I'll give it a try one day. I've seen octopi and squid characters too; recently saw another shark and an orca. I also believe spotting a dolphin. ;) And yes, selkies are interesting. |

It ranges from completely feral seeming animals who can 'speak' to humans that have feral habits. |

I actually think that a fish avatar would be kinda cool. There could be a main map for fishies like the lost city of Atlantis. The only bad part is that it would probably be the least used because fish on land seems a bit odd.

A Necromancer revived the thread!
The advent of the local species makes it entirely possible for someone to design an aquatic map where players can turn into fish. |
