More Wings Please! Options

I finally got my grubby little paws on a pair of Classic wings, and while chatting with some peeps, someone brought up the idea of Skele-wings and it reminded me that while there are so many ferians, mythicals, and seasonals, there's only 5 different wings. 5 is a good amount, don't get me wrong, but I feel like the popularity of wings has dropped lately. I hardly ever see anyone donning a pair of primes, or batwings, or even classics. I'm sure they'll become more popular when attachments come out, but some new ones to throw into the pot would be nice!

Some suggestions for future wings:

Skeleton wings
Fairy wings (example) They're often depicted as butterfly wings, though there are a few unique fairy ones out there.
Insect wings (similar to a fly perhaps? Also I know these were being made for the update, but I haven't heard any info on them since)
Elemental wings
>"Nature" example Many variations possible, I invision wings weaved with grass and leaves with the occasional flower blooming from them.
>"Fire" Flaming wings. Don't really need an example for this one haha.
>"Ice" example
>"Lightning/Storm" example Also many variations possible, perhaps storm clouds in the vague shape of wings wrapped with lightning bolts.
Chibi example

Please feel free to add any suggestions of your own! I realize some of my own are less realistic like the current wings available and more like concepts, but this is Furcadia...Let your imagination Soar!

I think that we'll see more wing types once the modular avatar/attachment system is released. (Right now, they'd have to add another avatar file for each default species with wings, and they've already run out of dynamic avatar slots.)

DEP does not plan to add any new wings or free avatars until after the 32-bit update, because all of the current avatars will have to be redone, and DEP doesn't want to create extra work for the artists. After this update, the wings will be detached from the avatars, so it will be easier to add new ones. . . . It will also be possible to attach wings to other avatars, such as Ferians and the Nobles. Emerald Flame also says that Silver Sponsors will be able to turn off the wings of the mythical avatars or mix and match different wings from the avatars they own.

Oh! Thanks for quoting that, that's the first I've heard of it. I can wait then. I'm happy to hear they already have plans to add more after the update. I guess this thread can be a suggestion thread for the 32 bit wings of the future.
