Well, It really just popped into my head, So I decided to write it down. I'm gonna list some items I think that Dragon's Eye should consider selling.

-Orderable Material Items
-IRL Plushies, i.e; Beekin, Feline, Canine, etc.[Custom Plushies also]
  -Furc themed T-Shirts
-...I ran outta ideas -for now-
-Pixelized Items
  -Demonic Wings
-More desc items i.e.; Smileys, furre paw, etc.
  -Unicorn

Later on I will add things that could be just for general use, like feral avatars, for the feral Furcadians. Everyone else please submit their ideas. I love Furcadia and would never like to see it fade. More money also means faster production for a newer and better Furc. C'mon people.
[Gigarose helped with some of these ideas. Mostly the Unicorn.]

Some of these were suggested a while back, and quite well-received. I personally love the idea of a plush Beekin, or a plush Pookie, and it's a goodie I'd probably be willing to shell my heard-earned (ha, I'm at work now) cash for.

As for demonic wings, somewhere in the discussion threads, there's a post about Bat Wings, and they were indeed started, but for assorted reasons, got put to one side. You might want to read that thread though :)

The problem, of course, with material items like plushies and t-shirts, despite the fact everyone would love them - is that production runs cost money -  that is, Furc has to come up with the money upfront to purchase these plushies, then hope to reclaim their costs by selling them quickly.

Unicorns might be nice, but they're unlikely to do them - all the 'mythical' beasts added so far are non-furry.  There's a pattern there.  Feathered or scaled, but not furred.  Unicorns have fur like horses.

Furc DOES sell T-shirts, but those are alot easier to produce than plushies.  Still, I could see maybe ten plushies being sold a month or something, or maybe taking a lot to a convention and selling them.  As for bat wings and unicorns, we have patches for those to use in the mean time.

Edit: A LOT, A LOT, not ALOT!!!

I love the plushies idea.. perhaps if we could customize them to our colors!? ^.^; I'd love to have a little Stealth plushy on my desk.  :cat-optimistic:

Custom plushies would be rather expensive to be supplied, methinks, as they cannot be mass-produced.

What Ayumi said (this conversation sounds awfully like we've had it before)

The best they could do is sell all white plushies and send instructions on how to find and dye the plushies.

I really ought to put together a good set of patterns for Furc plushies.  Blah.

QUOTE(Leticia @ Apr 30 2000, 12:00 AM)
Unicorns have fur like horses.

Horses don't actually have fur - their hair is literally that, hair. It's nearer to human hair than anything, if I'm not mistaken.

I wonder if it would be feasible for DEP to sell patterns to make pillows and plushies to the craft-oriented out there. Rather like McCall's and Simplicity patterns are for clothing. With instructions for how much fabric you need (and what kind), etcetera. It would require a bit of scheming on their end to figure all that out, but it would certainly be neat. I'd definitely get one for pillow production!

They have a coat of hair all over their bodies, covering their skin.  =P  Close enouigh to fur for me.

I know it's not typically CALLED fur, but.

It's typically referred to as horse "hair." :p It does cover the whole body, though, yeah, which is part of why most people do refer to it as fur. It's an entirely different texture, though. Much closer to human.

I know it's been suggested, but until plushies arrive (OMG I want a plush pookie), I suggest pets. I want a pookie to follow me around! :)

I believe DS scripts have been developed that, with some tweaking of the way DS works, could allow for pets.

Also, I believe horsehair usually refers to the tail hair, as in what's added to suit jackets?

I don't know why you all seem to disagree on the good ideas. Custom plushies would be hard to produce, yes. However it is just a suggestion and I was only making note that it would be cool to have.

It's our patriotic duty as Furcadians to hack away at all ideas.  Only the best will survive!  If they are not feasable, they go into the meat grinder and we make Soylentidea out of it, to feed our creative impulses.

Oh, geesh.

We're so VERY sorry for pointing out the difficulties involved in something that we agree would be nifty.  Perhaps, when difficulties are pointed out, solutions can be proposed.  But, wait, we can't point out difficulties, because that's so mean to disagree with a nice idea.

You know, the meat section in grocery stores throws out alot of meat byproducts each day.  The fat tissue, the old parts, and stuff dropped on the ground mainly.  I bet we could save a fortune taking that byproduct off of the stores' hands and using it as stuffing!

Just curious, but are there any suggestions for pay avatars out there that aren't going to be attacked?  Or was the gryphon the last good idea left to Furcadia? :cat-disappointed: I hear way more criticism than anything else on that subject...gets frustrating, though a lot of the complaints are warranted.

Plushies sound like a great idea (I'd buy one! :D ), but as Leticia pointed out, their production would require a looot of money.  At this point, patterns seem more feasible.  Purrhaps DEP could host another contest, and furres could submit their patterns for pillows and generalized stuffed canines, felines, and the like?  The prize could be...I don't know, a free digo item and an art print, or even a lifetime-something, depending on how many winners would be accepted.  It could be a festive occasion, like the Spring Festival.    :)

A pay avatar I would absolutely adore to see would be a Ki-lin. Perhaps it could be a mesh of the Chinese and Japanese portrayals, much as the phoenix is a conglomeration of Eastern and Western ideas of the bird. Now, who to draw the bugger...
