Well it's because your patches are'nt made by you. The lines are'nt fluent and it looks very much like they are some sort of clip art image. Maybe you should try to make something yourself, then we can accept it.

I'll confess that I did use reference for some of the patches, but they ARE mine. I don't have a computer drawing tablet, so I have to use and pre-scetched draft of the 'creature' I'm creating and scann them, while after, using the "coloring code" thing to make them show up in the dream. I really don't know what you mean "The lines are aren't fluent" or they look like clip art..[makes me sad because perhaps thats just my type of drawing style ], but they are an orginal creation by me. You wouldn't mind if I borrowed one of your sketches and, worked with it? I like a few of them and, would not mind working with them.

And, Deedlit, I do not see your patches as any better. You may be a great patcher but, you are not the best. And, no one is perfect. So, unless you actually know for sure that the person had made the patches from clip art via references or, links to images, It would be wiser to keep your mouth shut and, not make ignorant assumptions.

You may work with my sketches {Only You at this point}, but if you do decide to have a patch come out please give me part credit.

Great! I've started on your racoon because I had a fondness for it. Made the front arm a little skinnyer and, put the chest up a bit. worked around it, colored, shadded it, I got started pretty good. I'm going to come out with a nice racoon patch however, I might need you to sketch a backside of the coon as, I am horrible with backsides. Can not draw those worth diddly squat. XD

I "might" make the tail more bushyer.

Theres a sketch above the coon that would make great for a feral beaver once I finish the coon.

Aaaand, I finished fixing up your wolves like I said I was doing a few months back. I just have to make a few touchups to the wolf pups before releasing it on my site.

Where in my post did I claim ANYTHING about my patching or patches? I did not make any referance to them what so ever. I am quite aware that I am not the BEST patcher out there. There is always someone out there that is better than you. So when you make something straight from your heart, something that has taken you hours... perhaps MONTHS... someone will make something in a fleeting moment and make your stuff look like crap. I've had this happen to me a few times, so I know what i'm talking about. I'd also like to note, I am not the only one on Roamheart that thought that they were clipart either. With all of this patch theft going on, and people using other's patches without permission, we have to be very careful. It is also wise to keep your mouth shut if you cannot say something that is nice or even constructive critisim. It often makes you enemies and others not like you.

Learn to Critique, deedlet79. Right now you just come off as picking on someone. I bet you wouldn't appreciate it if it were done to you.

Oh, and just who esle must I prove to that my work isn't Clip Art? It was people like you and them ,that drove me into asking to delete my patches off RoamHeart in the first place rumor-ing that my patches are not mine, [and the n00bs that were claiming and remapping my patches as their own.]
You and the others failed to have proof of such, which BlackRain had put so well, Ignorant Assumptions.

Well, since this thread has come back to life, I'll make a few Announcements.
-Updates-
#1: Leo /Female Lion are currently up in the Free Download Load section for a limited time.
#2: Patches will be put down on and off for updating and remapping.
#3: Don't state my patches are phonies/fakes/copies ect, unless you have proof to show for your futile
thoughts. You are just proving to me and everyone else that you are simply being an idiot [or jealos ]
#4:I'm hiring Offical Patch Alterators for thoughs who want to fix up a patch of Neutral-Death. Please

Actualy, you where making ignorant assumptions. Even if you are not the only one who thinks that it's looksl ike Clip Art, I believe it would be wiser to prove it before opening your own mouth to say such things. If they think it's clip art, why have "they" not said anything? Because, they have no proof to back it up. Also, which you fail to do and yet, you claim his patches as clip art. Back up your words before you make ignorant assumptions.

And youlanda, It's not wise to back him up hun when what he said was wrong.

I think Youlanda's is just tipping Deedlit to Critique better, which isn't a half bad idea.
Makes me sad to hear that people think my patches are copies and such..I worked awfully hard on them..

Oks....this is starting to turn into a bash each other thread....do stop. Whether or not the patches look like clipart or not....you guys really shouldn't be fighting like this.

They are nice patches hun. As to them looking like clipart....I have yet to see any clipart like that,but then I don't spend a lot of time looking at clipart.

Now,please do stop fighting about this,it detracts from what the original poster is trying to do,let others see their patches and stuff.

At what point does a work become so derivitive that the artist holds claim to their work?

If I was to take a creature from RPG Maker 2000 and create a 20 frame animation of it would it be acepted into the Roamheart patch archive?

When commenting on the quality of someone's artwork be sure to not only list off the bad, but also the good and to give techniques and tips for improvement.

And really, let (s)he who has no sins throw the first stone when it comes to making accusations of stealing and plagarism.
And honestly, someone whose name is stolen from an anime and has a history of having sticky fingers with unencrypted dreams isn't exactly a poster child for anti-pagarism and anti-patch theft.
