Those o.o things annoy me to the point of insanity, they're entirely worthless and pointless and should be filtered.

All they do is just sit there.. THEY DON'T EVEN LOOK LIKE EYES!!!!
And people put them at the end beginning and middle of everything they say! WHY?! I am very much waiting for the next fad to get here.
And phoenixes bug me too, couldn't they have given the phoenix some sort of power that doesn't cause huge amounts of lagg, I'm sorry but nobody really gives a s*** to see a bird flaming repeatedly.

What annoys me?
Ignorant people.
Netspeak.
Stupid children who think because they can type two lines they automatically know everything and are the best roleplayers ever.
Stereotypical characters.
Dragons. (I'm tired of seeing them everywhere, and people who play dragons are "immune to everything" and they automatically have an excuse for why anything you do can't hurt them.)
Lazy staff who get ahead. (I witness it every day.)

Don't harass me. That's what this topic is about. Thought I'd blow off some steam on the things that bother me the most.

Something that irritates me slightly (I see it mostly in roleplay) is horrendous grammar. Some genius decides to start smattering his posts with fragments, dangling participles, and errant semicolons, and the next line of parrots starts doing it too. Pretty soon we have this colony of swarming roleplayers whose slippery grip on English is a sorry sight to behold. You know it's a sad state of affairs when we have numerous players from non-English-speaking countries who have a better grasp on the language than most Americans.
Anyway, I've developed the habit of suggesting corrections to people's grammar when it really gets out of hand. Some people are grateful for it. Some think I'm a <bleep>. In any case, I was speaking to this one fellow about his English, and he told me.. get this... "I shouldn't have to learn grammar rules. The way I write is my style."
Well hello Mr. Cummings. I was floored. This guy was hauling back and thrusting the finger at effective communication. Writing no longer had standards! It's all about expressing yourself, baby! Want an extra colon? How about a few double negatives? You're not writing poetry, but you can unnecessarily contract words, because it's your style. 'Pon my word!
Do you know who else says, "Shut up; it's my style?"

First, what really astounds me is the complete ignorance for the English language, like Ayumi said. I am so tired of the individuals who use "you're" and "your" incorrectly. Additionally, I cannot stand the people who tell people that they're stupid by stating: Your stupid and retarded! Excuse me? My stupid...what?
Second, I also have to agree with you somewhat. Those "o.o" eyes and other variations of them bother the living hell out of me to a degree. They're fine when used sparingly, however, you've got people out there who use them every chance they get. I mean, I will be honest -- I am guilty of using them. The only difference is, I don't imbue every sentence with them. I use them when they are required.
Third, are the recent onslaught of advertisements for digomarket items for NP or vice versa. Digomarket things require real money, Neopoints are fictional. They both harbour vast differences.
Fourth, and lastly, I do not understand the point of this obsession with vampirism. More than half of the vampire-portrayers have no clue what true vampirism is and flaunt it around as if its the next new craze. On that same token, it amuses me to discover how many vampire-savvy people claim to be psychic vampires. I bet half of them dislike veggies/fruits, dislike staying up all night, do not crave liquids in obscene amounts, have tons of friends, haven't the first clue about the varieties of psyvamps, have no idea about energy transferal, and who don't get tired easily.
I suppose thats it.

People who substitute letters for words!!! k for OK is fine but:
u r sux
starts to get annoying to anyone who speaks english. The way I figure it is if you respect someone you should take the time to actually type out the full word (abbreviations and acronyms accepted). I figure if you're too lazy to bother typing out the entire thing then you don't deserve to have my ear. I won't just tell you to get lost but you'll probably get the idea after me asking "I'm not following you. Could you elaborate?" purposely or because I can't actually understand you several times

He writes some interesting things just because he wasn't fully educated and his thoughts are completely "raw." Still, this doesn't exactly compare to those who just plain don't know English.
Also, many foreigners know English better than Americans. My Spanish teacher was French and she always complained about that. But, honestly, why condemn someone for the way they talk? Yeah, some could make more effort to be understandable but it doesn't mean we all got through English class with ease. And Americans use slang a lot. We know colorful English the way E.E. Cummings only knew raw feelings. Just because someone who isn't American speaks better doesn't mean that they know it better. Maybe they just haven't been as exposed to the English Americans grow up around every day. Just as London has many different accents and slang (as well as many other places, I'm sure) so do we. We're not all the same.
I do sympathize with the annoyance though, believe me. But also consider the age groups that play Furc.

If anything should annoy you, it's what society has built for you. Make up your own rules and move on. Nobody else’s problems should inhibit your life to the point of feeling hate, annoyed, or otherwise. In reality, feelings are nothing more than the result of how the electrical interpretation of the brain was trained to be associated with the thought of 'annoyed'. Much like how a computer is programmed to know ctrl + c == 'copy'. Perhaps you all should realize that before passing judgment on someone because some signal in your brain says you should post here bashing someone because he or she cannot type correctly. ;P

To Wolf Redstar's post: HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA!!!! You rock, dude. ;)
Anyway. People that imp...impersinate...or however you spell it...doesn't annoy me. I'm a hick, and I wasn't offended by that, but anyway.
What DOES annoy me?
I understand people that can't...spell...I'd be an example. I don't mind not typing with a bunch of capitals and correct punctuations. But commonly used words, like you, are, stuff like that is just...blah. If a second grader can spell it surely a teen can.
Furc reboots annoy me to no return. It makes it to where my dreamsitters who are usually AFK get kicked out of my dream, resulting in my dream going down because no one is there to dreamsit because everyone is in bed, leaving it open for someone else to load in my spot.
That's another thing that annoys me. My dream spot. It's chartered. It's been chartered since like...I don't know when. Beginning of this year. I've had it up since about October. Everyone knows I load there, because it's almost ALWAYS up. Yet, they STILL LOAD ON IT ANYWAY! UGH!
My dialup connection(ok it doesn't really have to do with Furc). I get kicked off constantly. I have to reconnect to 4 messengers, and Furc. Then, 10 minutes later, I'm kicked off again, have to reconnect to them all. ARUGH!!! It gets old after a while.
People who work at 500 different dreams on Furc. They'll have "[Bartender at TFP][Bartender at HHS][Teacher at PHS][Security at OOY]" etc etc. How can someone possibly get the time to visit ALL those places at once, much less WORK at them all? I mean I have trouble just taking care of my dream, I barely have time to get jobs as my alts.
It's been said before but I'll say it again: Randoms that walk up and ask for my digo's. Sure, I might get them for a friend, someone I've known for a while, but not a stranger. You'd think after about 500 no's that they'd get the point but I've seen alot who don't. I sit there, "can ii hav ur wngs" "no"...next person walks in with a digo, the person walks up to the new person "cna i havve ur wngs" Yet another ARUGH!
Let's see...while I'm on a ranting streak...
PEOPLE WHO MAKE FUN OF PEOPLE JUST BECAUSE THEY VISIT FURN!!! Yeah, that ticks me off. I wouldn't count myself as being "in" FurN since I'm always in my dream, not FurN itself, being outside my dream drives me crazy no matter what map it is. All...those...strangers...running...around...ugh...Anyway. I've got alot of bashing for that here lately, so...
People who make fun of me just because I try to be furre IRL. I got that...on some other post. Don't remember which, nor do I care. It just aggrivates me how someone could actually tease someone for that. Just like one of my fellow furre friends went into McDonald's and came out with "DIE YOU EVIL FUR!!!" scratched on the windshield of his truck. That's just wrong, and racist, and just plain EVIL! I wouldn't do that to anyone else, and usually I don't like it having done to me, especially when I haven't done anything to harm anyone, since they are my own beliefs, feelings, thoughts, and whatnot. It's not like I'm hurting anyone for believing I'm a furre inside instead of a human. It's not like I'm running around randomly growling and barking and clawing and biting at people, so I don't exactly like being teased for it. Like in high schools, how the bullies always pick on the "nerds" just because they're not "cool". Hurting someone for no reason is "cool" now adays? And they all wonder why I hate being called human...

I tend to get that when I'm out, walking around, decked out from neck-to-toe in Wolf-styled clothing and accessories.
(Basically clothign with the Wolf totem marked all over it - Pretty. But not including ears or tail.).
Adding to that, I'm also visually impaired (severe photo sensetivity - CCloudy days, without sunglasses, render me temporarily blind).
So, being an animal spiritualist/fur, as well as having an impairment tends to land me in some hot water too.
I can either ask what the hell so-and-so's problem is, and if they want to do something about it; which generally ends in them wanting to get into a fight.
Or, I can lecture them and place logic into their f***ed up, narrowminded ways.
On the most part; it's more satisfying breaking a few fingers (or minor/major limbs depending on how heated the situation gets), than educating the ignorant c***rag who refuses to learn.
Go for the throat, and let'm bathe in their own, self-initiated, agony.
Unfortunately, this is also an apparent thing in Furcadia - Morons walking around and b****ing out loud:
"Why the f*** are you a god d***ed furre?! What are you, a freak? f*** off, c***!"
If they didn't want to get to know the furre/fur/furry world, then they should f*** off back to wherever the hell they first spawned from.

I would have replied to that earlier, but I hadn't the time.
Any-way, that utterly disgusts me. If you bloody well speak the language, then learn how to speak and write it properly.
This doesn't just apply to Furcadia.
My mother is an English teacher at my school. One day while I was waiting for her to finish talking to a student and take me home, I actually bothered listening to the coversation. It went as follows.
"Why did you give me such a bad mark on my essay?"
"You didn't follow the format, and your grammar is atrocious."
"But... you shouldn't mark me down for my grammar! It's my -style-!"
"..."
"What?"
"Nothing."
"So will you change the mark?"
"No."
"But it's my -style-!"
"... Take your style and shove it."
Keep in mind, the student was in the twelvth grade. The assignment was a major one. It makes me rather sick thinking about it, and I'm glad that my mother didn't show the essay to me (she does that on other occasions - but only if it's laughable, I.E. written in netspeak).

There are many things that annoy me, but one of the things that annoys me are people that EXPECT me to drop whatever I'm doing to converse with (read as entertain, since they never actually have anything to talk about) them, or people that walk up in the middle of a conversation and then start asking "What?" to everything said because they want to be caught up on four years of inside jokes.
Now don't get me wrong. I don't mind talking to people on occasion. But when they initiate the conversation, the burden of being 'interesting' is not on me, and if I am involved in another conversation, it's very very rude to butt in.
The other day we were RPing, guy walks up and asks if he can join, being 'polite' I say "Sure, as long as you're polite." and then he plops down, starts jabbering OOC, asking personal questions, OOC, and calls over someone else and has the whole d*** ASL conversation for an hour, totally destroying our RP session. Tell me that I would have been wrong to tell him to go away instead of being 'nice'?
Which means another thing that annoys me are people that think that just because someone doesn't want to talk to everyone else on Furc, here and now, they're snobbish.
What annoys me is people who are not tolerant of the way other people are. I admit to being one of these people, myself, at times, but for chrissake, some people are unbeliavably inconsiderate of other people's personalities. For example, I definitely used to have a strong dislike for netspeakers, and I would refer to them as newbs constantly - you know the drill. But as of late I've started noticing that a lot of them are great, mature people who just type differently from me. You know, there's more to a person than how they type, and don't give me that 'well, it's a good indication' crap. Because it is most definitely not. There is no fact to back up the myth that all netspeakers are annoying newbies - and even if they are a newbie, so what? You were a newbie once. I was a newbie once. You should help them out - instead of these constant snide remarks I hear all the time, how about you start up conversation? I know that what brought me out of my netspeak days was talking with people who used (apologies to those who do talk in netspeak) proper language.
I don't want to sound like I'm precaching (er, I meant preaching, but found this typo mildly amusing,) but if you keep a closed mind like that you're just going to close doors that you might want to leave open.

Any-way, that utterly disgusts me. If you bloody well speak the language, then learn how to speak and write it properly.
You know, I can understand that some people really do struggle with spelling and grammar. My dad is a very successful person. He has a degree in economics, used to be the president of an apparel company, and is currently in real estate. Also, his written English is awful, and he often has me proofread his letters. It's just one of those things that doesn't click with people, which I can relate to with things like advanced maths.
However, these aren't really the people I'm talking about. The ones I speak of are the ones that decide to suddenly "spice up" their paragraphs with excessive and erroneous punctuation. They throw in a few unnecessary semicolons because they're "exotic." They throw hyphens or em-dashes between sentances, for no apparent reason. They exclaim! every! few words! Keep in mind that this is usually coupled with eye-bleedingly awful Webster whacking, which is another annoyance for another day. (Aren't I just delightfully cranky?) I really want to find out who was the first person to start doing this.

*dies laughing*That's absolutely Priceless!
*applauds fervently*
