I bought it several years ago when it came out for iPhone/iPods and I've tried going back to my list of purchases and I can't find it! It doesn't come up when I search for it either.

Is it going to come out with the Second Dreaming maybe..? I haven't seen any recent topics on it. At least not in this forum... lol. and let us go on FuRn this time too! ^.~

It is indeed going to come out as part of the Second Dreaming development! The $125,000 level (which was reached pretty handily) included funds to update the iPhone/iPad client with the new features in development, and release it as a free app. So, like the rest of the SD stuff, it will be on its way eventually!

Huzzah! I'm so happy to hear that. I look forward to getting it!

As of yet, though, no details on whether it has been worked on or not. The primary focuses seem to be the Dark Dreaming, Gloaming Effect, and the Web App.

I strongly feel that this is a feature that should take priority. This is a feature that users have -already- paid for, and (if that wasn't enough) many of us have theoretically paid for it several times over in Second Dreaming donations.
I love Furcadia, I love DEP, I've been around since the beginning. I absolutely sympathize with the situation, but I've also been a businessman for a few years now. If it were my business, I would have handled the loss of iFurc as a crisis and made it a very high priority. This is the players money you're dealing with, if Furcadia didn't have such loving and loyal players, you would have some serious problems having taken their money and leaving them out to dry for 4+ years. The money should either have been refunded, or (since the threat of refunds is usually a crisis) the iFurc issue should have been treated as a crisis.
Doesn't matter who made the app, or what DEP's responsibility is. Whoever got the players money should have spent every dime of it getting the app back up, or hiring another team to make another app.
It's just the principal of the thing. If something goes wrong, your company takes a hit. Don't take it out on the users. Furcadia is lucky to have understanding users, but from an outside perspective as someone who hasn't played much in a few years, it seems like the users kindness was taken advantage of.
Hopefully the wait is nearing an end. Here's to the Second Dreaming and the return of iFurc, I'm super excited and can't wait to see it. Although, I use Android now.. Long live Furcadia.

Yes, it is coming! It is being done by a contractor (a professional iOS developer), since we don't have anyone on staff who can do it, so it is being outsourced.
Cachu, I also use Android these days and I never actually saw the old iOS client, because I had gotten an iPad just weeks after Apple pulled it from the store. And now that it is about to return, I switched to Android. (Our web client works fine there.)

Good to hear from you Cironir, and that's great news. Is the web client out yet, or is that also an upcoming feature?
I could play here at work with a web client!

I would love to see this new app in place sometime soon. We always hear about Furc going to have new updates but all I keep seeing are adorable digos pop out of the market. Why not work on things people are wanting? I keep spending money. Along with a lot of others. Dark Dreaming has WAY past it's due on a lot of promises.

I'd like to know of any new news on this as well. At current, I don't have internet at my house due to having moved, and the best I have is my iPhone.

We do indeed have plans for a Mobile Client for various platforms.
Development on this is in progress, we ARE making one, right now. (ie: It's not just 'a plan on paper')
No release date or schedule is yet confirmed.

it's been nearly a year since the last post on this thread, so I have to ask. Is there an update on when well get an iPad version of furcadia? Does it exist already and I'm simply too silly to find the appropriate link?

You can access the Web Client, available on all devices with a web browser, which is in testing currently if you had donated to the playtester level of our fundraiser! It will be out for the public once we're done with the new features, like web pounce. Link for more info
